    To change from straight to curved lines, its easier to (in edit nodes mode) grab the lines and drag them to the shape, they'll turn into curves and the point you grabbed will move with your mouse. That way you can turn only one side smooth as well.

    Great video, I do have a question. I have the atomstack a5m50. I want to do a test like this but on thinner wood, do I need to do more than one pass? I am having issues with settings.

    • @wesleymorrison9941
      @wesleymorrison9941 2 місяці тому

      You only need to use as many passes as it takes to cut through the wood (if you're trying to do that). It also depends on how much thinner your wood is, I'd just play around with the settings like power level and speed

    Your video is very informative. Thank you for sharing. I have actual crystal prisms, your creation won’t work for them. Do you have suggestions how I could crush them. I’d like them the size of your amethyst before u crushed them. Any suggestions would be most helpful. Thank you.

      Hi Rosa, I am not familiar with crystal prisms but you could use this device on any size stone, just have to keep checking it to get to the size you need. I looked you up,,,you are kinda famous😍 thanks for watching

      @@doublereno 🤣 kinda 🤷🏻‍♀️💕 thanks for your reply. My prisms will not fit in your creation. Although I am going to make it for other things, I have thousands of dollars worth of antique, crystal prisms, so I will use Hole for my artwork, others, I want crushed. I can’t seem to find a way to do so. I know no matter what I come up with, it’s going to be a job and a half, I’m OK with that, I’m not OK with constantly being a hamster in a wheel. 😩😅😎

      @@RosaKrystleRose I looked them up and I assume they are cut as a precious stone would be, if you are wanting them crushed, you could build the device I did with larger diameter pipe and it might work. I was being modest with the kinda comment, you are a beautiful woman!

Maybe I’ll make a short for my UA-cam. I have so much that I need these crushed crystals for, I can’t finish my creations because they were a part of the original I have so much that I need these crushed crystals for, I can’t finish some of my creations, they were part of the design. Sounds like you were gonna buy the Onefinity at about the three minute mark. Not sure if you are going to do small market or hobby stuff - but I am not sure this was an apples to apples comparison. Good to point out how different they are though. At this range, I would think the accountant in me would look at that price difference prreeettty hard. Thanks

  • @Fancylooks
    @Fancylooks 4 місяці тому

    I think the traced line should be traced along the middle of the path to have a more precise line of the drawing, I don't understand why you draw it along one of the sides of the shapes... if you do it like that, then you could just delete the outer line, or the inner line, and complete the pieces missing in the line you are left with... you wouldn't need so much work. But I thank you for this tutorial because I didn't know how you could draw with vector lines in Lightburn, I thought you always had to import them from any other program.

    An easier way to smooth your lines is , once you make your straight line shape, select it, use the offset tool to offset out a fairly large amount, deleting the original shape, and then shrink it back to the correct size.

    Caption on longmill is misleading, it says you are testing mk2 but all your pictures are the mk1. The mk2 has different extrusions which are much stiffer, have a lot less flex than the onefinity. I actually saw a video where a person stood on the mk2 and it moved no problem without flexing.
